SMASH – is Ivy’s insecurity going to be her undoing?

Will Derek send Ivy Lynn to the chorus for her insecurity?  Will her lacking ability to overpower Karen’s extremely awesome voice be her demise?  All we can say is we sincerely hope so.  While Ivy is beautiful and talented she is just a little to much of a prima donna without the wholesome girl next door goodness that exudes from Karen’s pores.  The perceived innocence is what got Marilyn to iconic goddess status in the 1950’s.  Marilyn’s mixture of sexy woman with that touch of vulnerability is what has enraptured men and women for the past sixty five years.

Is there going to be a shake up in the ranks?  Will Karen at last take her rightful place as Marilyn in the musical?  We’ll be watching with high expectations.  What do you think?
