Well, it’s that time! Time to don our ‘artsy’ clothes and perform lots of ‘finger push ups.’ After all, we want to look the part of a ‘famous author’ and have nicely manicured hands that are ‘in-shape’ for autographing!! LOL!! But it’s so true, like the saying goes, “Fake it till you make it!”
Why all the fuss, you ask? K.R. and I start our world-wide book signing tour for our latest novel, What She Knew.
Ok, maybe not ‘world wide’ but it does span several states!!! We had our first signing a few weeks ago right here in Atlanta. The event had an awesome turnout and record sales. One particular family (that we did not even know) bought five hardback books! They are true, die-hard fans of Marilyn Monroe and did not want to share their book with each other. And we LOVE them for that!!!
And so our journey (a.k.a. lots and lots of road miles) begins. By this weekend, we will be in the panhandle of Texas. Did I mention the miles and miles? It’s an eighteen hour drive, one way!! Oh, well, it’s all a part of the journey! You’ve got to put in the time if you want that dime. Or, something like that. Our first stop is Amarillo (where we are from,) followed by Lubbock, Midland, Odessa and Wichita Falls to be precise. From there, we head to Lawton, Oklahoma, then to New Orleans and finally back to Atlanta. All this is in a two-week period. Oh, the miles…
After we return home and have a few more signings in Atlanta, we will head further East: North Carolina, South Carolina, and possibly Florida and New York. The details for some of these are still being worked out, so stay tuned. You can go to http://www.whatsheknew.com, select ‘Current Events’ and see our official dates and times for signings. There are lots of great stuff on the website for you to peruse. Hop on over and read a sample of the book, hear what the audio book will sound like when it’s completed, discover little known facts about Marilyn, and of course buy the book if you so choose.
Blessings to you all, K.R. and T.L.
P.S. We will be out of pocket over the next several weeks, so blogging and other social media will be kept to a minimum. We will ramp it back up when we return to Atlanta at the end of May. Thanks for your support and encouragement!! Oh, and stay tuned! We will be posting pictures along the way!
