Please Welcome Author G Mitchell Baker!!

f05b0-mitchbakerauthorphotoG. Mitchell Baker

Welcome everyone! We are so excited to have with an awesome friend and fabulous author, G Mitchell Baker!! We have read his books and just have to share with you that they are wonderful. You will be hooked from the very beginning. Don’t blink because his plots are deliciously complex. So, let’s get right to our interview.

Mitch, it is so great to have you today.

It’s great to be here!!

You know that we are huge fans of yours.  We thought we would do a different interview with you if that’s ok.

That’s fine. I’m always game for something different.

Great! We really wanted to ask about you as an author and what has been your greatest moment as a writer?

I honestly believe the best is yet to come … However, to now, I’d have to say there was the Rockin’ Radio Interview hosted by Kim Mutch Emerson that evolved into a story that rates up there as a ‘greatest moment’.

Being interviewed to promote the release of a Young Adult novel called “Kerby ‘Webb’ Webster & Kinny the Rodeo Hound” I learned that as the show time came around, I was without internet. I could not access my call in number, finally appearing on the show five minutes into it.

Stressed, it took me another ten minutes to settle down during the middle twenty minutes. The show was to promote the Kerby book.

Then, with five minutes left, the show sort of stopped as Kim announced there was going to be a ‘surprise’. Then, and regarding a submission I’d sent to Master Koda Select Publishing it was announced by Kim that the selection committee had unanimously accepted “Lethal Believers: The Innocents” and that MKSP was going to publish the novel.

Wow! I was just releasing a new novel, in the same radio interview was the announcement of the acquisition of “Lethal Believers: The Innocents.”

That was indeed a great day!

Now, we are on the eve of releasing “Lethal Believers: DVM” and with my completing “Lethal Believers: Parisian Subterranea” any day now.

That was fantastic news.  We can understand how that would have ranked right up there with one of the best moments of your career.  Ok, Mitch, our next question is also personal in nature.  Have you ever had a moment, even if it was a split second when someone noticed you for the unique person you are or complemented you on a job well done? Do you remember what that feels like in your heart?

Well … I’d have to say the above story about the Rockin’ Radio Interview left me with the utmost affirmation … I recall jumping up out of my chair, trying to remind myself that I was still in a live radio interview, but really, I was at a loss for words.

Some commented later, and in a fun way that it was the first time they’d heard me ‘speechless’. Well, I believe that is because my heart took over as my mind was just too overwhelmed. And when my heart took over there was a sense of joy and excitement, but it was tempered … I was ‘speechless’ because my heart was reminding me to be humble … In my heart I knew there was so much Grace going into these events and that I was only a part of the experience … Not the experience. On that day there were many noticing me and the affirmation was unmistakable … But I also knew in my heart it was not all about me being unique or the only subject of the affirmation. The rest of the afternoon I raced around the house, trying to remain grounded … and I think I did okay in that department … It became a matter of experiencing a great day and then taking the responsibility to keep it real.

We can understand. Kim has us on her radio show some months back now and it was an awesome experience.  And, yes, it ca be hard for a bit to keep yourself grounded.  As authors, we think that we spend so much time alone, creating, that when the spot light is on us it can be overwhelming.  We are so glad you agreed to join us today and share a bit of the personal you with us.

Mitch has several books out and you can find them on Amazon.  The first one is only .99 right now!!

The Marilyn’s Of Our Day

Hi everyone! We thought we’d take a break and have some fun.  We’ve been hard at work on book three of the trilogy and both K.R. and I needed a breather.  Something fun.  Well, Marilyn is always fun, right?

We think you will all agree that Marilyn Monroe is always in the news.  It seems to us that she is more popular today than she was in the early sixty’s! Her brand is everywhere and modern-day actresses eat up any chance to portray her.  They even talk of ‘Marilyn as my muse’ to help them overcome stage jitters or to exude the ultimate ‘sexy.’  So, below, you will find six, though there are many more, well-known actresses who have portrayed Marilyn Monroe in recent history.

Charlotte Sullivan

Charlotte Sullivan, The Kennedy’s, 2011

Charlotte performed alongside Katie Holmes in this $30 million drama mini-series, which delved into the background and hidden stories of America’s most legendary political family, the Kennedy’s. The show received a number of damning reviews. Could it be because they were too close to the mark? Perhaps.

McPhee and Hilty

Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty, Smash, 2012-2013

Katherine and Megan played actresses who were vying for the role of Marilyn in a Broadway musical in the US TV show ‘Smash.’ Despite initial critical success, there was a rapid ratings decline that led to the show’s cancellation after just two series.  For us, the show became more of a day time soap. Even the great music couldn’t hold our interest through the bad drama.

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams My Week With Marilyn, 2011

Michelle earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Marilyn in the 2011 film. ‘My Week With Marilyn’ is about the making of ‘The Prince and the Showgirl’ from the perspective of Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) – a gopher on the ‘movie’ set and potential love interest of Marilyn’s. Michelle had this to say about playing the role of Marilyn: “It was the kind of part I was born to challenge myself with.”

Poppy Montgomery

Poppy Montgomery as Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde’ 2001

It seems to us, that most die-hard Marilyn fans dislike this movie because it doesn’t tell her true story. The author also bends some facts and dates to better fit her story. While that’s true, you have to remember that this is based on Joyce Carol Oates
novel, “Blonde”, which is a fictional account of Marilyn Monroe’s life. The novel and the movie are both intended as works of fiction and shouldn’t be read as a biography of her life and work. However, Poppy does a good job and the story is entertaining. Poppy also shared in an interview that when she told her mother that she got the part of Marilyn Monroe, she said her mother didn’t even bat an eyelash.  Poppy quotes her mother as saying ‘Well, you’ve been rehearsing for it your whole life.’

Susan Griffiths

Susan Griffiths – Various

Susan played Marilyn Monroe (or a look-alike) in several series and films including Quantum Leap, Dark Skies, Timecop, Pulp Fiction, Marilyn & Me, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Nip/Tuck.  All dressed up as Marilyn, she even made the cover of ‘GQ Magazine’ with Jimmy Kimmel.  Recently, Susan, aka Marilyn, was featured during Elton John’s live concert “RED PIANO” at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas while he serenades the crowd with his #1 hit song ‘Candle in the Wind.’  ‘A & E’ did a spot on the ’15 Sexiest   People’ and Marilyn Monroe was voted #1.  They chose Susan to do the interview. Crazy right?  She also does ‘Legends In Concert’ in Las Vegas with other Rat Pack impersonators.  Notably, Susan is the most famous Marilyn Monroe impersonator in the world and takes top billing in our list of six of the all time great Marilyn Monroe impersonators of the day.

Thanks for joining us and we hope you’ve enjoyed the Marilyn’s of our day.

MKSP – An authors best friend!!

Hi everyone!

K.R. and I thought we would take this opportunity to share with you about Master Koda Select Publishing.  Master Koda Select Publishing, MKSP, is not only our publisher, they are also our biggest advocate, promoter and friend.  K.R. and I always say “MKSP is an authors best friend!”  And we mean it!!

kim emerson

Owner of Master Koda Select Publishing

K.R. and I have been with MKSP for over six months now.  They are an outstanding small publishing company.  We couldn’t be happier with their service and support.  MKSP is always honest about our work; however, they never forget that we are the authors and allow us to have the last say.  We can’t tell you how rare that is.  We’ve been around the publishing block a time or two, and believe us, this is a rare quality in a publisher.

Taking constructive criticism is never easy, especially for artistic types like authors. So we are so thankful that MKSP has the innate ability to give advice in such a way that you don’t feel like you’ve been run over by a freight train.  And, like we said, if it’s something we feel strongly about to leave as we have presented it, then they honor our request. How cool is that, right?  One big difference that K.R. and I feel adds to why MKSP stands out from all the other publishing houses, is that Ms Emerson is an author herself.  She knows exactly what an author goes through, and runs her company accordingly.

Please Welcome Wendy and Charles Siefken!!

Kai's Journey

We are honored to have two very special authors with us today.  A mother and son writing team – Wendy and Charles Siefken!!  Thanks you two for stopping by and taking time out to visit with us today.  We are looking forward to finding out all about you both.  How cool that you are a mother and son team.  Let’s get started.

First off, where are you each from?

We are from Laurel, IA.

Please share a little about yourself.  Charlie, you go first.

Charles:  I work at a local business as a tech. I will be attending college this fall to become a certified mechanic. I love to read fantasy books but Christopher Paolini is my all time favourite author. I’m always coming up with new ideas for new stories.  My mom says that I’m always stretching our imaginations and flexing our writing muscles.

Wendy:  We have to look up and do research on a good portion of his ideas but it’s always interesting and love to learn!

Ok, about me.  I work in a local call centre taking inbound calls. I love working on the stories and hashing out ideas with Charlie. We enjoy talking about the story lines anywhere we are. Stores, restaurants, or the mall.  We will talk about ideas, characters and the environment they live in.

We both think that’s great.  Makes for a close relationship too.  Ok, tell us your latest news?

Our latest news is that we have published our book under MKSP titled; Kai’s Journey and released two shorts called, “Curse of the Red Eyed Witch” and also “Hiding in Plain Sight. “

We have also been asked to sit on a panel of authors at a local writer’s conference!

That is so exciting!  I know our readers will want to know when and why you began writing?

Charlie has loved writing ever since he read Eragon. He would write stories in school in his journals instead of doing the homework.

I have always loved to write as well, ever since I discovered books. I would write in my diary. I would write poems, tell stories and use my imagination.

That’s great. It seems Charlies got his love of writing and story telling from you Wendy.  So, when did you first consider yourself a writer?

We didn’t consider ourselves a writer until the day at school when the principal and the teachers looked at us and said, “You did it, you really did it.” The principal had given us the challenge of writing and publishing a book for credit to graduate. We did it.

That’s wonderful!  It’s great how things work out.  From a school assignment to a profession!!  Do you two have a specific writing style?

We write young-adult with a theme of hope.

That’s wonderful. We can use all the hope we can get now a days.   How did you come up with the title?

We couldn’t come up with one and just were having no luck at any ideas. The main character was named Kai, and I thought well it’s basically his journey so let’s call it “Kai’s Journey” until we can come up with a better name.  For a long time it was simply called “Charlie’s zombie story.”

LOL! That’s great. We understand the title part.  It has to come to you, and sometimes that takes time.  Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Yes, ours is that no matter how bad things can seem or get in life there is always hope for a better life and a better future. You have to get that future though. It won’t come knocking on your door, usually.

This is one of our favorite questions.  Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life, or are they a figment of your imagination?

The hero is based loosely on Charlie’s brother James. He is a quiet strong type who isn’t an outgoing personality. He is a good guy who has a likeable personality. Otherwise it’s all a figment of our imaginations!

What imaginations you both have! We both really loved the book and where it took us.  What books would you say have influenced your life the most?

The Eragon series, The Shannara series, and far too many other books to mention.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

For Charlie, it would be Christopher Paolini and for me it would be either Terry Brooks or Rick Riordan.

Nice choices.  What book(s) are you reading now?

Charlie is reading the Red Wall series and I am reading the edits on our second book. I just don’t have time to read any more between work and writing new stories and editing Kai’s Journey book 2.

We understand that.  We are working on edits of book two ourselves and all I (T.L.) have time for are research books.  Oh, well, it’s still great!!  We know you know a lot of authors.  Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

There are quite a few. Most of the authors on MasterKoda and even a few who aren’t on it yet but I feel should be!

Master Koda rocks with some very awesome authors!!  Such a great pool of talent.  So, tell us, what are your current projects?

We have several at the moment. My story that I told the kids when they were little where they are the main characters called Lost. A book about a spaceship with an A.I. in it that becomes very human-like called Fallen Angel. A story about a Minotaur and an Anubite and how they meet titled Korudon, a story about a new breed of creatures that were created to be slaves called the Chimera Effect. We have quite a few others that have been put on the back burner for now.

Wow! That is quite a plateful!!  If you would, name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

Mike Donahey a reporter for the Marshalltown Times Republican and also Kim Mutch Emerson and the whole MasterKoda crew.  (Sorry that’s two) and there are many others who have helped as well.

That’s fine.  You can name as many as you want.  You can never have too many supporters in this line of work!!  If you could pick any celebrity to star in the movie version of your book, who would it be?

Nicholas Hoult from Warm Bodies and Jack the Giant Slayer.

We can so see him as Kai!!  If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Nope, not a thing, we love it the way it is.

Our readers love getting a preview.  Wendy and Charles, would you share a little of your current work with us?

Pro log

“I will NOT forget!” she said as she aimed the practice laser at the wall.  Carefully she aimed the gun making sure to fire it precisely as she moved it across the wall. The silence of the ship made the laser gun firing sound even louder than normal.

They were all gone, the crew, the enemies, the workers and even the cleaners. She alone remained.

All her concentration was on her task as the ship floated through the vast darkness of space. The burn marks on the hull of the ship told the story as well as the guns that had been blasted off in the fight. The lights of the ship flickered out one by one as the ship shut down until only she remained in the small practice room with the laser gun. “I will not forget!” she said one last time before all the lights went out and the ship fell silent.

Oooooh, sounds interesting.  Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Finishing what we start and being sure to do our research to make it at least partially believable.

As a writing duo ourselves, we know that it can be challenging to carve out time to write. Do you and Charles have a particular writing quirk?

We like to write when the time grabs us. Anymore both of us carry around a notebook and pen/pencil to write down ideas. Nothing else I have been known to put notes in my phone.
Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

No, my husband is a truck driver and he has seen most of where we have our characters going.  We do take some creative liberties with parts of it but he is our eyes for the most part.

We have to ask, who designed the cover(s)?

Dan Peyton and Rebbekah White, we love what they have done and look forward to continuing to working with them!

He did such a wonderful job too.  What was you two say is the hardest part of writing your book?

The editing!

Oh, we can identify with that!!  Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

I learned so much from this first one that it’s hard to know where to start. We didn’t know anything about writing, publishing, promoting or anything about the process. We are still learning but have learned a lot. I think the biggest thing I have learned is the balancing act of keeping Charlie’s voice for his stories as well as pleasing the editor.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Never ever give up!

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

If you have a dream, no matter how far out of reach it seems, go for it! Find a way to reach for it and make it real!

Wendy and Charles, we want to thank you both so much for joining us today and sharing about yourselves.  We wish you all the best in the world and can’t wait for the next book to come out.

Please Welcome Author Greta Burroughs!!

Hi everyone! We are so glad you could join us today! We have a special guest here with us – Author Greta Burroughs-Woot!!

greta burroughs

Here is a bit about this very special lady, Greta Burroughs:

Author’s Bio

Greta Burroughs loves to read. No matter where she is, there is always a book close at hand. Her love of reading began at an early age and blossomed over time to include many different genres, her favorite now being fantasy.

As a preschool and elementary school teacher, Greta tried to instill the joy of reading in the children she worked with. Books were an important part of her classroom and story time was the highlight of the day.

It has been a while since Greta was in a classroom but she had lots of experience in reading to children of various ages and remembers what they enjoyed listening to. She tries to incorporate that knowledge into her work as an author and believes it makes her a better writer of children’s and young adult books.

She now resides in SC with her husband, Robert and three dogs. Greta has six books published at the present time; three children’s books in the Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat series, two MG/YA fantasy entitled Gerald and the Wee People and House on Bo-Kay Lane, and a nonfiction account of her experiences with an autoimmune blood disorder called ITP – Heartaches and Miracles.

For more information on Greta’s books visit

Hi Greta and welcome! Please tell us a story! What is one of your favorite childhood memories?

One of my favorite childhood memories revolves around Christmas. I can’t really remember my age but I was still young enough to experience the magic of Christmas morning yet old enough to appreciate all the wonderful toys under the Christmas tree.

The night before I was troubled by a question that had been in the back of mind for several days, but wasn’t sure if I should ask it. I was sort of afraid of the answer but finally worked up the courage to ask. I was glad I did because I was rewarded with a great answer before going off to bed. My question was: How did Santa and his bag full of toys fit down the chimney? He was too big and fat and I was afraid he wouldn’t be able to make his delivery at our house.

My older brother, Tommy, explained it to me. Santa had some magic powder that he sprinkled in the chimney to make it big enough for him to slide down. When he finished putting all our presents under the tree and went back up to the rooftop, Santa sprinkled a different magic dust and the chimney went back to normal. That made a lot of sense to me and I went to bed all excited about Santa’s visit.

The next morning, I knew I had the smartest brother in the world because there were so many wonderful presents under the Christmas tree. Santa had made it down our chimney! The cookies I had left for Santa were gone but he didn’t drink any of the milk. That was okay, I didn’t like milk too much either.

I remember it like a dream – walking out to the den and seeing my parents standing next to the tree. They were holding hands and smiling. and beside them was everything I had wished for.  That Christmas was very special.

Thank you so much for sharing this personal piece of yourself with us and our readers.

Greta has a wonderful tour going that is featuring tons of great authors, for all ages.  Here is the link to this online event :  Hurry! The event ends July 14, 2013.

Wee People Cover (SW, Kindle)

Here are the highlights for “Gerald and the Wee People” by Greta Burroughs:

MG/YA fantasy

~~One Sentence Synopsis

Two boys fall into a strange new world and discover they can accomplish the impossible with a little help from their friends.

Gerald and his best friend, Vernon discover a mysterious spot in the woods where Gerald visualizes a miniature village complete with wee inhabitants. He enjoys going back to that spot and watching the day to day activities until trouble starts in the village and he tries to convince Vernon that the “visions” are real and the wee people need help.

While trying to prove that the whole thing is just Gerald’s wild imagination, the boys literally fall into the new world and get caught up in a war. The boys come up with ways to keep the invading force from entering the village but another solution has to be found in order to put an end to the conflict.

Along with a few companions from the village, Gerald and Vernon embark on a quest to face down the deranged forest god who instigated the mayhem. The dangerous path is laid out by an ancient prophecy, but not everything goes as planned.

Why they had to hurry, Gerald did not know but something in the back of his mind kept telling him that time was running out. It took a few minutes, but all the boys were finally awake, a little groggy but ready to move.

The problem was that everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. The heat was almost unbearable. It was a major effort to put one foot in front of the other. Gerald reminded the rest of his team that it was Miach’s way of keeping them from reaching their destination. But this time the illusion did not stop when he mentioned the forest god being up to his old tricks.

This time it was no illusion. The walls burned their hands, the hot air burned their throats. The floor was sticky with some kind of hot substance that burned their feet through their shoes. They began to hear a distant sound like the laughter they had heard earlier.

Cian fell to his knees and cried out in pain as the scalding liquid burned his skin. “I can’t go on, just leave me here to die,” he screamed.

Tomas reached out to his brother and tried to help him up. It was no use; he was too weak and exhausted. In a very weak voice he said, “You all go on. I’ll stay with Cian. I can’t go another step anyway.”

No one else said a word, the other two boys were too tired to talk, too tired to walk, too tired to care.

This was not supposed to be happening. Gerald did not remember this from his nightmares. Something was wrong. He yelled to whoever was listening, “Did we take a wrong turn or something? Stop it Miach, stop it. You want me, leave my friends alone.”

That just made matters worse. The scampering, unseen creatures came out of nowhere. They did not just run past this time but stayed and started pinching and biting the legs and arms of Gerald’s companions. For some strange reason though, the creatures did not bother him.

All four of his companions were down, rolling around on the ground trying to fight off the shadowy figures. The screams intensified from his friends as the burning liquid covered their bodies and the creatures’ biting turned to gnawing. Gerald could hear pieces of flesh being torn away as the other boys were being eaten alive. The laughter was all around them now bouncing off the walls and echoing through Gerald’s head.

“Stop it, stop it now. Please, I’ll do anything you want, Miach, just stop the noise, and stop torturing my friends.”

Total silence fell. All the gnawing, screaming and laughter were gone. Gerald did not know if the total lack of sound was worse than all the noise. He noticed a light shining above him. He looked around and realized he was all alone.

A voice spoke inside his mind and said, “Anything I want, huh,” followed by a soft, haunting chuckle.

What She Knew Trilogy – Fateful Night

Hi all!! K.R. and I have been busy!  Book one is out and promotion for that takes a good chunk of our time, lol!  Book two is finished and at the publishers for editing.  And Book three is in the works!  I’m madly researching, my favorite thing to do, and K.R. is taking my pages and pages of words and weaving a fun, twist-filled, historically accurate story.

We’ve also been working on a TV Pilot and a full length feature film screenplay.  Whew! Like I said, busy!!  We were given a wonderful opportunity not long ago and asked to submit our TV Pilot to J.J. Abrams.  This is the feedback he gave us:

“Great work! I love it.  It’s just too big for what I am looking for right now.  Can I keep it though?”

WOW!!!!  We were so ecstatic!  It would have been great if someone like him, awesome that is, would have wanted to use our script right now; but, how can we be even a bit disappointed?  He asked to keep it!  Who knows, there may be something in the future that means we would get to work with likes of JJ Abrams.

In the mean time, K.R. and I are continuing to shop the script around.  You never know.  We read stories every day of the unlikely meeting of author and producer and the magic that happens.

We both thought we would show you the query letter. If you know someone who might be interested, please pass it along!!

book cover

Original Cover for What She Knew

My name is Tamy Burns and I found your contact information in the 2013 Hollywood Screenwriting Directory. I, along with my co-author, Kim Hughes, have written a full length TV Drama based on our trilogy entitled What She Knew by K.R. Hughes and T.L. Burns.

What She Knew is a fast paced story packed with intrigue and mystery surrounding America’s favorite sex goddess, Marilyn Monroe. This story has all the elements of the next blockbuster hit. We weave a story of greed, power, lust and a touch of conspiracy. The high-profile, never forgotten, iconic, historical characters of the early 1960’s are resurrected and showcased in a new light; bringing humor, depth and warmth to an all-star cast.

The fascination with Marilyn Monroe is stronger than ever as are the questions surrounding her death. She has millions of fans worldwide; over three hundred thousand Facebook fans, and nearly one hundred thousand Twitter fans, most of which are under the age of 24; which makes Marilyn more ‘alive’ today than she was in the early 1960’s. It’s hard to fathom she’s been gone for fifty years.

Stars like Uma Thurman, who sang a song as ‘Marilyn’ on NBC’s “Smash”. While Scarlett Johanson perfected the ‘Marilyn’ pout for a Dolce& Gabbana’s spring makeup campaign in 2010. Michelle Williams earned a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her 2011 portrayal of Marilyn in “My Week with Marilyn”. These are modern-day glamour girls and they’ve ‘got the look’ of Marilyn Monroe and they each made a big splash with the public.

Following the historical timeline from late July 1962 up to the motorcade at Dealy Plaza in November 1963 we have created a compelling novel of what if Marilyn had lived and ‘what she knew’ was enough to save John F. Kennedy from assassination. My research follows historical political events worldwide to find out who wanted Kennedy dead the most and what was the reason behind it.

We have fans of all ages and backgrounds who ask us ‘Where is Marilyn now?’ after reading our novel, Fateful Night book one in the trilogy. One of our reviewers had this to say: ‘A book that makes you wonder…Could it really be true?’ Another reader compared our writing to Dan Brown. Fateful Night is available here

My co-author and I have over 5 years’ experience in freelance writing. My expertise is in research while my co-author is the writer. She has published books under her pen name, Kymber Lee as well. Darkest Day, book two of the trilogy, will be released late summer of 2013. We are currently working on book three, and it is due out by the end of the year.

Thank you so much for your time. We will be happy to sign any release forms that you request. If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. May we send the screenplay to you?

Please Welcome Marilyn Monroe Fan Tina Garland!

Hi everyone! We thought it would be fun to have a fan of Marilyn Monroe visit with us today!  Tina Garland has been a fan of Marilyn’s for many years now and has quite a collection.  Let’s get the iterview started!!

Welcom Tina, it’s wonderful to have you with us today.

My pleasure. Thanks for having me.

So, to kick this off, give us a little bit of basic background. Tina, where are you from, what do you do for a living, etc?

I grew up in Wisconsin. Born a twin whose 5 minutes older than me. Been working in the retail grocery business for the last 17 years here.

Can you share with us the pivotal moment when you knew you wanted to become a collector of Marilyn Monroe items and why?

I saw a clip on TV about the 20th anniversary passing and thought “who is that lady”. Gorgeous that she couldn’t be dead. And my research began wanting to know more. The more I read, the more I’d become smitten.

What most impresses you about Marilyn?

She was total honest person on her feelings and she spoke out at a low time when women were not very outspoken on their feelings, like Racism and taking on Hollywood. Also very clever and witty.

That is something we learned in our study of Marilyn.  She was smart, and very witty.  If you had the chance to personally meet with Marilyn, tell us three things you would like to ask her?

Who and where did you learn your beauty tricks? Who else besides Jean Harlow did you look up to in the famous world(in any famous status not just movies) and what did they teach you? Did you wish you would have had a closer sibling to grow up with?

Excellent questions.  We would love to know the answer to those as weel.  So, tell us your favorite movie that Marilyn was in?

Niagara, it was very suspenseful. She was superbly sexy and very gorgeous.

Do you have anything in your collection that you would consider weird/odd?

I have a few pillows that people look at a bit weird but the craziest is a jar of MARILYN MONROE BEAUTY CREAM.

Please tell us what is in your collection.

I own over 800 magazine cover from all over the world, 1946-present. Over 100 original Korea photos and 25 original color slides. 4 original newspapers from her passing, Very rare 1950 Milwaukee Sunday paper, a pair of her gloves from the late Susan Strasberg and a signed 1961 Check. Original signed photos from Joseph Jasgur.

Helped out to contribute information and photos on 4 collectibles books on Marilyn. 2 price guides, a photography 3-d book in Spain and recently last year working with Michelle Morgan on Private and Undisclosed 2012.

We love Michelle Morgan and her books.  Her latest on Marilyn is a best seller.

Here are some photo’s from Tina joining others for the memorial service on Marilyn’s 50th anniversary, Aug 2012, of her passing.
