Thanks for stopping by.  Just thought I would take a few minutes and talk about book two of the What She Knew Trilogy, Darkest Day.  For some of our new followers, you may not be aware of where we are in the story.  K.R. and I are working hard on finishing up the trilogy as I write this, but we both thought our new followers would like a little back history.  So, here is a bit of a teaser for book two:

 Darkest Day

~~~~Was ‘what she knew’ enough to save JFK?
A must read raves best-selling authors RJ Parker, CJ West and Jodi Thomas.
“What She Knew Trilogy” is a fast paced novel of intrigue and mystery involving America’s favorite sex goddess, Marilyn Monroe. This book has all the elements of the next blockbuster hit raves The Times. The authors weave a story of intrigue, mystery, and a touch of conspiracy. In this period piece; high-profile, never forgotten, iconic, historical characters are resurrected and showcased in a new light; bringing humor, depth and warmth to an all-star cast.
Given the popularity of Marilyn Monroe; they’ve simply utilized the events leading up to her death and added their own take on what happened. Following the historical timeline closely as well as the world events of the day, they have created a compelling novel of what if Marilyn had lived and ‘what she knew’ was enough to save John F. Kennedy from assassination.
The mystery author team, KR Hughes and TL Burns, lead us on a historically accurate journey into the world of ‘what if.’
Was the JFK assassination an elaborate deception?
Synopsis:
On the tragic day of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, the nation mourns the loss of a president who stood for radical change and whose charisma carried him through the masses with never before seen devotion.  Kennedy’s determination to pay the U.S. back for his good fortune never wavered, with a presidency riddled in strife from the Cuban Missile Crisis to the Cold War and finally to the Vietnam conflict nothing was easy for him.
In this fictional novel, Kennedy isn’t on a world tour or even in Texas in 1963.  Instead he is in the Alps recovering from back surgery, a ruse that he had planned with Bobby, and his double months in advance of the tour.  With the oval office tapped and the ever-present Bobby running interference there was little likelihood that anyone would realize this was not the president.  In fact, no one did.
Now, the world believes their beloved president is dead, there is no going back for Jack.  While the decisions are difficult, it is far better to leave his ‘death’ alone than to risk political failure for his family clan and ridicule for his young widow.
Kennedy must now take on another face, name, and identity.  Who is behind the assassination? What was the ultimate goal in killing the president? Was it to topple the American government and take down the Kennedy’s with it? Find out in this action packed conspiracy novel.~~~~
Oh, and I need to brag a bit!  My son, Kenneth Burns, does our covers.  He’s a master artist if I do say so myself, lol!!
Blessings,
K.R. and T.L.
