Red Flags Everywhere!

Hi all!!

We just ran across this little beauty posted in an epaper called The Wrap.  In it, it talks about the latest book and it’s author being full of inconsistencies and out right lies about Marilyn Monroe.  Lies?  Really?  Not in the printed press????  We jest of course.  With the amount of time that has passed, and all of the material that has been published about her, it really is hard to tell the truth from the lie.  Here’s the link for you to decide for yourself.

Book 3 is in the works!!

Hey everyone!

We thought we would update you on our writing.  We are working on book three in the What She Knew Trilogy, and the tentative title is “Brightest Dawn.”  K.R. and I are so excited about this one.  Along with the usual plot twists, we plan on revealing Marilyn’s new future!  Woot!!

Here’s a snipit of what we have so far:

Jackie blew a smoke ring at her sister.  “Really Lee, why do you always think I’ve done something?”

“Usually because you have,” Lee watched for a moment before her attention was drawn to the children laughing on the lawn.

“You wouldn’t understand if I told you.  Besides it isn’t my fault.”

“What ?” Lee smiled and waved at Caroline as she chased the ball John-John had kicked.

“It wasn’t my fault and I’m not taking the blame.”  Jackie remained oddly defiant.

“Fine.  No blame. What happened?”  Lee stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray.  She picked up her iced tea from the table between their chairs.

“I think Papa Doc drugged me with some type of truth serum.”

Lee spewed the sip of tea into the air.  “Oh dear, you’ve been reading too many spy novels.  Or have you been seeing a secret agent?” Lee laughed for a moment but caught the frown on her sister’s face.  “Okay, I’m sorry.  Tell me when this happened.”

“At the coffee shop a few days or maybe a week ago, I don’t really remember.  I do recall thinking I had seen Jack.  He was walking outside the coffee shop looking in and then he turned and walked away with his head hung.”

“Jackie, darling, you’re not making sense.  Did you go see someone about your grief?”

“It really happened.  I’ve told you he’s alive.  Why won’t you believe me?”  Jackie stood up and stormed into the house.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this little teaser.

Government Was Tapping Marilyn Monroe’s Phone

Hi all!

Check out this link for some interesting tidbits on why Marilyn Monroe was murdered. Based on our research, this is not surprising at all. We’ve always said she was murdered. However, this article does add some extra spice.

Please Welcome Author and Musician John Emil Augustine

Hi all!!

John Emil Augustine and Write Is Right: Kalamazoo

John Emil Augustine is the author of the From the Abyss book series. He also has two CDs out, and now there is an indication that there are writing workshops in store along with a Kickstarter campaign.

John, help us understand the writing workshops and how they relate to the Kickstarter initiative.

Let’s back up a bit to when my first book came out, so I can show the progression. I think people have a hard time seeing how everything I am doing fits together, so I will give my perspective.

Yes, you put out a book about your own abuse.

I did, and I had no idea the impact it would have. But I began having people write to me about their own abuse. I couldn’t believe people would do that at first, but then it occurred to me that writing to someone who understood an abusive situation was cathartic. There was healing involved.

Did you respond to these people?

I did. And I now realize I was responding much differently than someone who didn’t understand would have. The normal response is, “You’re just imagining things,” or, “Buck up.” And that’s what you tell your kids when they fall off their bike or something because we can’t dwell on the small stuff; we have to move on. However, for someone who has been raped, for example, there is a lot more trauma there to deal with than a skinned knee. But our society is stuck on “Get over it” because we really have no collective idea how to respond to a truly horrific story.

And what is the response?

I think the first response is to listen and understand. But before even that can happen, a person has to get the story out. That’s what I realized as well: I have a few people writing to me. What about those who aren’t writing but want to? What can I do for them?

Writing workshops.

Writing workshops. Having studied adult education, communications, writing, and the creative process extensively, and with my innate ability to be non-judgmental, I realized I am supposed to be encouraging people to write. When I realized that, I also realized I am doing exactly what I used to do in my writing classroom: modeling what I want people to do. In writing my book series, I am setting the stage for these workshops.

So the workshops are called Write is Right.

Yes, because writing can be the right way for people who can’t verbalize their own story to get it out. And if it’s your story, it’s only right that you should be able to own it. Getting that story out is a right that abuse victims often feel they are denied. In many ways, to write really is right.

And what is the Kalamazoo part of this?

As you can imagine, you don’t just rent a space and expect people to come for your writing workshop. You have to get the word out. Kalamazoo is hosting a fairly large book convention next year, and I am trying to get there to begin the next phase in getting the word out about my book series and the workshops. Everything is a step along the way, and this happens to be one I can’t do on my own yet. But with a little push, I will be able to.

Kalamazoo is basically a step in the right direction?

Exactly. My wife asks me, “You’re writing books, you’re recording CDs, you’re planning workshops…can’t you just settle on one thing?” I forget that it looks like I am all over the place to someone looking in. To me, everything is just part of the same goal: helping people to heal. The further I get into that cause, the more each of my little pursuits begins to fit together. Everything I do is a means to a larger end. The book convention in Kalamazoo is no different. It is just a part of the whole of my life’s work. I just happen to need a push to make this step happen.

So explain how Kickstart works to those who are unfamiliar.

You just go to my page, for example, and decide if you want to back the project. If you want to pledge a dollar or a zillion dollars, you just click the “Back this project” button and use your paypal or credit card. If you donate $10, $25, $100, or $250, there are thank you gifts I will send to you, which makes it kind of fun. Also, you will get updates as a backer and can follow the story of the project. It’s supposed to be fun and for a very good cause. There’s plenty more information about it on my Kickstarter page.

Joe and Marilyn

MM and Joe

Hi all!

Here’s a great article on an upcoming new book, Marilyn and Joe – Legends in Love. The book is problematic at best, but does shed some light on the never ending love that Joe DiMaggio had for Marilyn Monroe.

MM and Joe news article

Joe never stopped loving Marilyn.  At her funeral, his grieving face told it all.  Even after they were divorced, Marilyn turned to Joe for strength, comfort and hope.  On his death bed, Joe remarked “At least I will be able to see Marilyn again.”

Joey Paul cover

Book Synopsis:

Angelina and Zack couldn’t be anymore different; one lives in apparent riches and the other in poverty. They meet online and a friendship blooms, but then things in Angelina’s life take a turn for the worst and she finds herself turning to the only person she thinks loves her – Zack.

With everything against them, can Zack and Angelina cross the distance to change her life before it’s too late? Or will Zack have to watch from afar as Angelina continues to suffer?

Excerpt from the book:

I left the room and took a deep breath. I had been too close to admitting my own lies and that wouldn’t do. It couldn’t happen if I wanted them to stay friends with me. I liked the new guy, well I guess I was the new girl, but I liked Artist44 or Zack or whatever he was called. He seemed friendly and had made me feel really welcome, even if he had pushed me to tell him who I’d been dobbed in by and there was no way that was going to happen.

My sisters were awake, I could hear them yelling for me from downstairs. I decided that the best course of action was to go downstairs and try to placate them, because otherwise they’d come upstairs and start banging on my door. I’m always worried that they’ll start trying to damage the lock and that’s the last thing I need.

I headed downstairs and went to the living room where they were both lounging across the couches. “Where the hell have you been?” Valerie demanded, giving me an evil look.

Theories Still Abound On Marilyn Monroe’s Death

Hi everyone,

Here’s an article we found that takes a look at the different perspectives on how/why Marilyn Monroe died.

Of course, we have our own thoughts and we have some compelling evidence to support them too.  There is no doubt in our minds, Marilyn Monroe was murdered because she knew too much.  If you find the information above has gotten your curiosity up, then please feel free to check out our trilogy, What She Knew.  Books one and two are out, and book three should be out this Fall.  Here are the links:
